SPAT measures one's agility, flexibility, endurance and strength. It is a reliable
indicator of one's fitness and suitability for a career in sports.
The SPAT has an age and gender sensitive scoring system that ensures competition
among comparable i.e. same age and sex. The cut-off date to calculate participant's
age is 1 April.
Play for
India
SPAT's campaign line, "Play for India" put thoughts about sports in clear perspective.
If you are good enough a sportsperson to play for India, you have an assured future
thanks to government's job guarantee and cash award schemes.
There are strong reasons to play even if you are not a career sportsperson. Time
out in the playground makes you physically fitter and helps you develop key personality
differentiators of perseverance, commitment and competitiveness. These traits almost
decide how far you will go in life.
Why take SPAT?
It gives you an idea what you need to do with physical potential. For example, if
you are sturdy enough to score above 75%, you can put it to good use by following
a career in a game of your choice. Or if it is below 40%, you immediately need to
see a doctor and find ways to jack it up if you don't want to be riddled with lifestyle
diseases like blood pressure, heart attack and diabetes as you grow up.
What is on offer in SPAT Scholarship Program?
The Government of Haryana offers scholarships to first 5000 successful participants

Lucius Review

Lucius has an intriguing premise, but some not-so-original adventure-game flaws.
The Good
- Antihero Antichrist protagonist is a great concept
- Subtly creepy with splashes of serious gore during the murders
- Very challenging, with a lot of exploration needed to solve the murder puzzles.
The Bad
- Kills are all linear
- Puzzles involve pixel hunts through a huge, heavily detailed mansion
- Needs more overt black humor to offset the grim nature of the storyline
- Very long load times.
It ain't easy being the Antichrist. In adventure/puzzle game Lucius, you
experience the trials and tribulations of being the firstborn son of
the big red guy with the horns. As you might expect given the young
lad's pedigree, when he suffers growing pains, they involve a sizable
body count. Lucifer is a demanding daddy, who wants souls in exchange
for building the tyke up with telekinetic powers. All this contributes
to a grim but promising setting where your only goal is to figure out
how to murder the folks on the devil's hit list. Unfortunately, this
darkly innovative premise is not implemented well, due to a reliance on
pixel hunts, and you're dropped onto the scene with just pop's orders to
start killing.

Lucius has exactly the sort of cute, pudgy little cheeks you want to pinch…while searching his scalp for three sixes.

Painkiller: Hell & Damnation Review

Painkiller: Hell & Damnation is a slick first-person shooter remake soaked in gore.
The Good
- Great visual makeover freshens up old locales
- Weapons are sadistic and satisfying
- Co-op campaign option is a nice added touch.
The Bad
- Despite the new look, very little has changed over the years
- Short campaign lacks content.
Harking back to a simpler era of first-person shooters, Painkiller: Hell
& Damnation is far more concerned with body counts and blood spray
than depth in the gameplay department. The return to the genre's primal
roots is a welcome one, even if it feels like indulging in the gaming
equivalent of a junk food binge. Unflinchingly old-school, this remake
of the gory original is fast-paced, campy as hell, and full of action.
It gives you a toolbox of twisted weapons and throws massive swarms of
unholy minions at you at every turn. The absurd bloodbath of flying
appendages that ensues jams a ton of craziness into a short-lived but
pleasantly gruesome romp.
